Sarah + Joe | Utah Engagement Photos

Oh hi guys!

This past weekend was amazing, the spring retreat was everything I could have hoped for! You can see a few previews of images the attendees shot at the Instagram here. Follow along there to see updates, announcements and images from the retreats and workshops!

This engagement session reminded me that summer is so close! I loved exploring around with these two. Keep scrolling for some rocky desert goodness.

Erik & Eva Bridals | Big Cottonwood Canyon

So yesterday these two graced the blog with their beautiful wedding at Cactus and Tropicals. If you missed it, it's right....here.  We did their bridals after their wedding, which I think is so fun if you want the first time he sees you in your dress be when you walk down the aisle!

We drove up to one of my favorite spots in Big Cottonwood (before ALL of the snow showed up). Eva had her hair and makeup done by Jill,  and I loved how the makeup brought out Eva's natural beauty! Rachel did her bouquet, and the rich reds and succulents were perfect for the autumn mountain colors.

We have only TWO spots left for the fall For the Love retreat next August. Make sure to click here or email me at forthelove@emmylowephoto.com if you want more info!

Erik & Eva Wedding | Cactus & Tropicals

This wedding day was one of my favorites. It started out with a beautiful family that all came together to celebrate with Erik and Eva. Including the cutest dog! Champagne, the most beautifully styled home, and of course Eva, were all there for the first part of the day.

Then my favorite-teary dad photos. Eva had gifts for both of her parents before the ceremony, and she had me tag along to grab a few shots of the special moments she shared with her parents. You can tell how much they love her!

They had a gorgeous ceremony at Cactus and Tropicals, surrounded by their closest family and friends. They spent the rest of the evening dancing, eating cake, and then had a sparkler exit!

Jade | Red Dress Snow Shoot

My rebrand is here!!! I am so excited to share my new logo with you all! It has been a long time coming but I am so happy that it matches more of who I am and what I want people to remember me by!

This was the first shoot of 2016, and I loved being able to have my cute assistant Jade be the model! This stunning red number is from The Dress Collective, and it paired so well with the snowy winter background. So excited to see what 2016 holds, this shoot has me feeling like it's off to a great start!

Natalie and Tyler | Utah Mountain Wedding

Where do I start with this sweet couple?

Natalie's best friend Eric, who is the perfect mix of sassy and kind-hearted (Hey, just like me!..okay anyway), did her hair and makeup. This first part of the day is so much fun, especially when a bride has her favorite people by her side!

Right before the ceremony, Tyler came by Natalie's room. They held hands around the doorway and said a prayer. It was one of the most tender moments I've been able to be a part of as a wedding photographer.

The rest of the day was just as perfect, they were married surrounded my trees in the Utah mountains, with their closest friends and family. The details were perfect, and one of my best friends and super talented florist Rachel Osguthorpe did the floral design.

Days like this are why I do what I do. Hope you love!

xoxo Emmy

Ashlyn and Scott | Utah Winter Bridals

Even though shooting outside this time of year means being so so cold, I can't get over how beautiful the snow is! Mix that with these two beauties, and a dress made by the bride's mom, you can't get much better than that.

Tonight is their reception, and their wedding on Wednesday, and I am so happy that I get to be a part of their wedding celebration.

Okay, but back to this dress. Ashlyn's mom made it, and it pairs so well with her beautiful wedding ring and Ashlyn's classy style. There are lots of pretty details in today's post, keep scrolling to see!

Lindsey and Connor | Utah Mountain Engagements

I hope you guys all had a wonderful Christmas!! I spent the weekend snuggled up with husband and baby Jack, but I'm excited to get back to work this week!

To start off the week, here is a couple that I'm so happy I get to spend their wedding day in 2016 with! Lindsey had her makeup done by Jill, and her handsome fiance brought his motorcycle along. We spent the evening in the Utah mountains, documenting their love.

Britany and Kevin | Big Cottonwood Bridals

I was so excited when Britany emailed me and wanted me to photograph her formals. Her and Kevin drove from Las Vegas for to add a little Utah mountain magic to their after wedding session. This was my first shoot this year in the snow, which was fun to bring to this desert couple.

The early morning  light peaking through the pines mixed with the pines gave us the prettiest backdrop!
